Week 2 reflection
I did not state in the first week the importance of music when it came to my project. Music has been a staple in my life for the past few years and I am almost always listening to music. Whether it's classical or rap, I will always listen to music depending on what I am doing or what mood I am in. At first, I was unaware of the importance of music when it came to running. I would start running but couldn't help but notice something lacking, I didn't know whether or not it was motivation, sleep or food. That was until the 4th day I brought my apple watch and airpods on my run and the impact was crazy. I remember I was listening to X-wing by Denzel Curry and I hit my first runners high. I knew immediately that the music would keep myself motivated for the rest of my senior project.
Another skill I developed in the first week that I have been acting upon is my ability to cook meals for myself that stay in line with my diet. I have made a plethora of meals during my time on senior projects. It has helped me obtain more hours and is another great skill to develop further going into the future. My favorite dish from the second week was meatballs with bulgogi sauce and rice.
The second week of senior project went even better than the first, I stayed motivated and running does not feel like as much of a nuisance anymore and is only a nice refreshing break from my daily life every morning and night. I am excited to attempt my half-marathon on monday.
