Weekly Reflection
This was a great first week of senior project. It started off a little difficult but is getting easier everyday. I learned quite a bit this first week. Firstly, I learned the importance of a good diet when training for a half marathon. The best diet for training includes a lot of lean protein and healthy fats such as nuts and fish. Another thing I learned was the importance of consistency, as I stayed consistent throughout this first week it only got easier everyday and made motivating myself to keep running a lot easier. Lastly, I learned the importance of sleep, to keep myself motivated, my sleep was extremely important. The days I would get 8-10 hours of sleep it would be much easier to stay motivated to run and while running I would feel way more energized. I enjoy running sometimes. It's definitely nice when I feel good but when I get no sleep the night before or when I'm feeling poor it can be quite a nuisance. Luckily, everything went according to plan which was very helpful for myself in completing my goal. My stamina benefited very well from this week's activities and helped me get even more prepared for the half-marathon in a week or so. What I'm doing will help me achieve my goals very easily because if you're going to do a half-marathon, the best way to train for it is running. Unfortunately it is much easier said than done and it is a little difficult at times. Overall it was an extremely successful and productive week and I can not wait to continue on my senior project for the next week and a half.
Sounds great Will! Hang in there!
